CK Technical are recruiting for a Compliance Coordinator to join the EHS (Enviromental, Health and Safety) team for a premier research and development company, supporting the life sciences industry in Hoddesdon.

The Company:

Founded in 2003, our client has invested in its people and facilities having established diverse drug R&D service capabilities, ranging from synthetic, medicinal and analytical chemistry, biology, DMPK, pharmacology, drug safety assessment, radiochemistry and isotopically labelled metabolism, chemical & pharmaceutical development to clinical development. The Hoddesdon site has state-of-the-art Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standard facilities for the development of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), formulation development and process chemistry.

The role: The EHS team provides the site with environmental, health and safety advice to ensure compliance with UK EHS legislation, company policies and permits. Passionate about their role with an insatiable appetite for increasing our knowledge and improving the way things are done, our client is seeking a Compliance Coordinator. The main focus will be on areas outside of Process Chemistry such a facilities where the scope and range of legislation is broader and the GMP quality system is not applicable.

Key roles and responsibilities: Provide active guidance and direction to company staff and contractors in EHS programs to ensure a common and effective approach. Conduct thorough inspections and audits as required, delivering feedback, to maximise the prospect of the business meeting its compliance obligations and objectives in areas of relevance. Identify areas for continuous improvement in systems, processes and operations to proactively enhance compliance standards, working with the EHS Manager and other department leaders to implement corrective actions and improvement plans. Support in the investigation and review of accidents, incidents and near miss events and manage the tracking of corrective actions with the objective of continuous improvement in EHS compliance and standards. Prepare and report compliance data by compiling and analysing relevant internal and external information.

The sucessful candidate should have: Experience working within an EHS role Involvement with tracking compliance metric and data using excel Expertise in writing documents with input from a variety of stakeholders Hands on experience in a manufacturing/production role Experience working within a highly regulated environment, ideally within a GMP environment Experience in conducting and reporting EHS audits Broad understanding of UK EHS compliance requirements and practices in a manufacturing environmentFor more information or to apply for this position, please contact Phoebe Walker on 01246457737 or email Alternatively, please click on the link below to apply online now.
