Electrical And Controls Project Engineer - Duxford
Alex Tosney is recruiting for an Electrical and Controls Project Engineer to join a leading composites and specialist materials manufacturer at their site based in Duxford on a permanent basis.

The role is based at our client's site in Duxford which is located a short distance from Cambridge. This role is easily commutable by car as it is located a short distance from a motorway junction.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations: o Lead continuous improvement projects within the Central Mix Filming department (CMF) in the field of Electrical and Control fields. o Provide Electrical & Controls Engineering skill and knowledge to the Project Engineering team. o Support and participate in engineering projects across site as requirements arise. o Support project, process and maintenance activities that will lead to improved safety and production efficiencies. o Lead CMF continuous improvement projects from concept to successful implementation. o Liaise with CMF staff to ensure successful implementation and sustainability of improvements. o Develop concepts into detailed control specifications on a broad range of manufacturing equipment. o Creating, maintaining electrical, instrumentation and controls documentation. o Supporting Site Breakdowns as required, inclusion in the on call rota system.
Your Background:oProject Engineer with a Controls background oRecognised Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent oProject engineering experience in a manufacturing or process environment oProject management experience within multi-disciplinary teams oExperience including design and specification of industrial chemical processes or similar. oRockwell PLC knowledge required (Logix 5000 & 500, Historian) oUnderstanding of Safety PLC systems and SIL. oExperience of industry standard risk assessment techniques such as HAZOP, FMEA. oATEX & commissioning experience would be advantageous. o2D CAD knowledge advantageous. (AutoCAD, EPlan etc.) oTrained in machine safety.
