Infrastructure Engineer - Bootle, Merseyside
Natasha Young is recruiting for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join an independent world class manufacturer and supplier of diagnostic products for clinical, industrial and veterinary testing.
Our client has over 60 years experience at the fore front of medical expertise. Originally founded to manufacture antibiotic sensitivity test discs their product range has greatly expanded over the years, and they now supply a huge variety of customers in hospital, private clinical, public health and veterinary laboratories as well as blood banks, food and water testing facilities and pharmaceutical companies.
The role is based at our client's site in Bootle, Merseyside which is commutable from large areas of Liverpool and surrounds.
The IT Infrastructure Engineer will ensure that all systems are performing efficiently and advise on infrastructure upgrades. Working with the Information Systems Manager you will maintain and monitor all network, security, business applications and systems. You will ensure hardware and software is maintained, assist in implementing ISO 27001, resolve issues with end users email, files and internal application.
To succeed in this role, you will have previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or commercial environment. You will have the following skills:
- Experience working with external contractors
- Detailed understanding of Microsoft Exchange Servers, MS SQL Servers and MS Hyper V
- Experience with ISO 27001 would be an advantage
