George Truman at CK Technical is recruiting for a temporary Mechanical Engineer to join a materials manufacturer at their site based in Brassington (near Matlock) on a contract basis for a period of circa 3 months.

The Company:

Our client is a materials solutions provider with expertise in industries such as agriculture, ceramics, construction and glass.


This role is located in Brassington near Matlock. The site is easily commutable from Matlock, Wirksworth, Chesterfield and Ashbourne.

The Role:

Your main duties will be to carry out mechanical maintenance on site equipment, including planned and reactive maintenance.

Further responsibilities will include:

  • Welding.
  • Bearing servicing.
  • Working on compressed air systems.

Your Background:

The ideal candidate for this role will have

  • 2-3 years experience in mechanical maintenance.
  • Completed a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical maintenance engineering.
  • Experience working on industrial equipment.
