Multi-Skill Engineering Technician -Worcestershire
Preetha Sampath is currently recruiting for a Multi-skilled Engineering Technician to join a world class manufacturer of personal care products, based in Worcestershire on a permanent basis. The client offers a competitive salary and the role comes with excellent benefits.
The primary responsibility of the ideal candidate will be to provide process support to all assets as required ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest operational standards.
Other duties will include:
Maintaining the machinery to a high standard in order to maximise output with minimum breakdowns.
Monitoring the machinery during run time in order to prevent expensive down times, and suggest routine maintenance programmes for machinery to allow for improvements to be made.
Reviewing the production performance daily with your team leader and suggest any likely improvements which could increase productivity. KPI's will form a key part of the technician's role.
Effectively communicating across all levels of the business with the intent of ensuring understanding of the process or problems encountered.
Working with the Health and Safety Manager in collating technical information in relation to machinery and assist with conducting machinery and engineering risk assessments and processes.
Engaging and carrying out training activities in relation to Engineering activities as required, including health and safety management for third party contractors.
The ideal candidate will have the following Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Qualified to a minimum NVQ Level 3/ONC/BTEC or equivalent in Electrical engineering with a good mechanical understanding.
- Have a proven track record in an Engineering and fault finding role in a fast paced FMCG environment
- A background of working with PLC controlled production machinery is a must
- The ability to fault find and make minor modifications to Allen Bradley/Mitsubishi/Siemens PLC programmes
- Understanding of HACCP·Ideally have effective problem solving methodology skills ie. lean, six sigma, 5S
