Blockchain tops the most in demand skills of 2020 from LinkedIn

LinkedIn Learning recently released its top 10 soft and hard skills in 2020. Whilst most of the top 10 looked similar to last year, there is a brand-new entrant at number 1. Quite unsurprisingly blockchain tops the list in the number 1 spot and interestingly this skill did not occur in the list last year.

According to the LinkedIn results it says… ‘Blockchain has become a line of business for a who’s who of the corporate world — IBM, Oracle, JPMorgan Chase, Microsoft (LinkedIn’s parent company), Amazon, and American Express, to name just a few. Blockchain is now being used in industries ranging from shipping to healthcare, from farming and food safety to entertainment and gaming…Blockchain, for example, is the most in-demand skill in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Australia’.

This is something that we at CK Technical can definitely agree with having worked for the last 12 months in the blockchain recruitment arena and due to our pharmaceutical and healthcare clients demanding skills in blockchain, this month we launched a new blockchain recruitment service.

Other technology skills to join blockchain on the list were UX design, cloud computing, analytical reasoning, artificial intelligence, scientific computing. Incidentally, we can also agree with this as we often recruit for all these skills and have seen a definite rise in demand.
