Each week CK Engineers is building up a picture of the Chemical Engineers job market. Whether you are a Chemical Engineer looking for a new role or an employer seeking new Chemical Engineers to join your team, keeping up to date with industry news that impacts you is essential.
Our tracking is based on each week screening some of the UK’s leading vacancy boards for how many Chemical Engineer jobs have been advertised within the last 7 days.
This weeks summary is for week commencing the 6th of June 2014 and relates to Chemical Engineer vacancies posted on
- CV Library
- Monster
- Reed
- The Engineer
- Just Engineers
Our results showed that from these job boards a total of 84 Chemical Engineer jobs were published last week. The up down up down wave motion of recent weeks has continued with figures up 53% on last week, however the overall total is lower than highs previously seen which have been in excess of 100.
We have also seen the permanent > temporary trend once again continues. Permanent roles are up 55% this week and temporary up 25%, although it is worth mentioning with just 4 temporary vacancies last week, this is only an actual increase by 1 job.
With major external factors such as bank holidays now out of the way for some time, it will be interesting to see if the wave like trend continues or if the levels of vacancies take a more steady line.
