CK Technical are specialists in Blockchain recruitment.
Each month we survey the trends in the Blockchain job market in different parts of the world that CK recruits for. This monthly update provides a simple measure of market sentiment based on vacancy numbers across the UK.
April 2020 saw a drop in the number of Blockchain based vacancies in the UK, from 1304 jobs down to 1042. However, as lockdown got into full swing, this impacted the job market even further, with May only seeing 481 new vacancies being advertised across the UK. This represents a drop by over 1000 jobs from figures in February.
Although this represents a significant drop, the beauty of the Blockchain industry is that many roles can be undertaken remotely, and recruitment activity can still go ahead.
For those still hiring, the use of video based technology for screening and interviewing candidates is likely to be a useful tool. You can find our top tips on how to onboard remotely here, or find out how to conduct an effective video interview here.
The data captured in this report is based on the number of vacancies advertised on LinkedIn on the first working Monday of the month, and therefore does not give a full representation of the Blockchain vacancy market. It does, however, represent a snapshot in time to indicate general market sentiment.
