Each week CK Engineers will be trying to give you a picture of the state of one of the disciplines we work with, the Validation Engineers jobs market. Whether you are a Validation Engineer looking for a new role or an employer seeking new Validation Engineers to join your team, keeping up to date with industry news that impacts you is essential.
Our tracking is based on each week screening some of the UKs leading vacancy boards for how many Validation Engineer jobs have been advertised within the last 7 days. Please bear in mind that there is likely to be some repetition across jobs boards and some duplicate posting but our goal is to build up a picture of trends over time.
This week’s summary is for week commencing 20th June 2016 for the past week and relates to Validation Engineer vacancies posted on:
- The Engineer
- Just Engineers
Our results showed that from these job boards a total of 405 Validation Engineer jobs were published in the last week,
- 264 permanent roles
- 141 contract roles
As we are now in the final period before the EU vote the recruitment market and demand for validation engineers has continued to decline, with a further 5% drop off this week. We can now see that over the last 4 -5 weeks the number of advertised roles has reduced by a total of 46%. Permanent roles have seen the greatest impact of this reduction, dropping by 51% over the same period. Interim roles have faired better, but have fluctuated more than we would normally see. Due to the uncertainty of the future, we foresee recruitment continuing this pattern over the next few months, regardless of the outcome of the referendum.
